Elegant Sympathy

Hello Stampers. Although I have been actively stamping and building my stamping team, I have been remiss in not posting anything on this blog that my friend was so wonderful to create for me. (Working full time and law school will eat up all of your free time.) This year, however, my goal is to post (at least more than once a year!) projects, ideas, tutorials, etc. So check back often to see what is happening.

I wanted to start with something that is easy and elegant -- and sadly often needed -- a sympathy card. This card's design was inspired by Gina K Designs. She is not a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but she really has some beautiful designs.

The photo really does not do this card justice. We made this card in one of my recent Technique classes and it was the class favorite due to the subtle scored lines.

Here is what you need:

4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2 - Thick Very Vanilla (144237)

5-1/4 x 4 - Soft Suede (115318)

5 x 3-3/4 - Very Vanilla (101650)

Inkpads:

Early Espresso (147114)

Calypso Coral (147101

Stamps:

Touches of Texture (143251)

Itty Bitty Greetings (146667)

Acrylic Blocks:

Block D (118485)

Block C (118486)

Block G (118489)

Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334)

Dimensionals (104430)

This is a great card for beginners, especially those who are just starting their stash. Keep on stamping.
